Spokesman gets it Right: KXLY & KHQ distribute Fake News
June 19, 2025 — This morning Spokane citizens woke up to broadcast reporting by KXLY and KHQ that Ben Stuckart has been exonerated for his recent criminal activities. KXLY claims of “Charges dropped” and KHQ claims that “Stuckart cannot be further charged” are not only incorrect, but are a fundamental breakdown in reporting. They posted that Stuckart is in the clear.
KHQ morning host Sam Adams reported (click below to watch video),
Nothing could be further from the truth.
While we aren’t often fans of Spokesman-Review reporting - we have to give credit where credit is due.
Alexandra Duggan of the Spokesman-Review got it correct this morning.
Alex wrote (emphasis added)…
“The cases were dismissed without prejudice, according to court records, meaning a prosecutor could refile the charges at any point.”
“We have also made decision to dismiss without prejudice so we can go through the large number of police reports to determine which defendants we could possibly charge. The reports are voluminous. There are hundreds of hours of body camera footage,” Bingham said.”
We have every reason to believe that KXLY and KHQ will correct their reporting mistakes. Afterall, we are all human.
However, when reporting the news, it is critical that mistakes made be quickly corrected.
As for Ben Stuckart and Lisa Brown, will they admit that they made serious mistakes? Ben Stuckart claims that he “had no choice but to defend his immigrant friends.” What Ben doesn’t understand or care to admit is that if he truly wanted to advocate for his “friends” he would have involved legal professionals well before his so-called “advocacy” which will likely be determined to be illegal.
